Services for Maurice W. Hartley, retired civilian personnel director at the Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, will be held at 9 a.m. today at the McCully Funeral Home, Mountain and Tick Neck roads in Pasadena.
Mr. Hartley, who was 66, died Saturday of cancer at his home on Wharf Drive in Mount Pleasant Beach.
He retired in 1981 after more than 30 years of service at the Coast Guard Yard.
A native of Lonaconing, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, attending Creighton University then serving as a bomber pilot in Europe. Later, he retired as a major in the Air Force Reserve.
