Malcolm R. O'Haver, a retired employee of the Martin Marietta Corp. and a longtime resident of Middle River, died of a heart attack Friday at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Ala.
Services for Mr. O'Haver, who was 70, were being held today at the Gray Brown-Service Chapel in Anniston.
Born in the Allegany County town of Westernport, Mr. O'Haver lived for about 25 years in the Victory Villa community in Middle River, where he was active in community affairs. He had been a deacon at the Middle River Baptist Church.
At the Martin Marietta plant, he was a machinist and an industrial safety specialist and chairman of the safety committee for United Auto Workers Local 738.
