WESTMINSTER - Frank Waller, former assistant director of Auxiliary Services at The Johns Hopkins University, has been chosen director of Administrative Services at Western Maryland College.

Waller replaces Geri Sherman, who resigned from the position two months ago.

As Administrative Services director, Waller is responsible for supervising the operations of the college's dining services, pub and grill, bookstore, and central and mail services.

While employed by Johns Hopkins, from 1986 to 1990, Waller was responsible for the review, development and implementation of auxiliary services, including housing, food services and campus bookstore.

He also has 11 years of prior experience at Towson State University, where he served as assistant director of housing and assistant to the associate vice president. In both positions he assisted with the development and monitoring of auxiliary and support services for students and staff.

Waller earned a bachelor of science degree from Towson State in 1972. He currently is pursuing an advanced degree in public administration from the University of Baltimore.

He and his wife, Hillary Waller, and their three children reside in Columbia, Howard County.
