Carroll House Names Architect Vice President

Joan Abel of Annapolis has been appointed to the board of directors of the Charles Carroll House of Annapolis Inc. She has also been elected vice president of the corporation, which is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to raise funds and restore Carroll House, the birthplace of Charles Carroll of Carrollton.

Abel, a native of Brooklyn, holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and has pursued advanced studies in urban design at Columbia University.

In addition to her new position on the board, Abel is member of the Carroll Volunteers, the Carroll House support group. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
