Soccer Tourneys Slated For Aacc

Anne Arundel Community College will be the site of the Region XX men's and women's soccer tournaments this weekend, with both Pioneer teams in contention for a championship.

The Anne Arundel women are seeded first in the three-team field and receive a bye in Friday's opening round. The Pioneers (6-0 in conference play) meet the winner of the game between Montgomery-Rockville (No. 2 seed) and Dundalk (No. 3) at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Pioneers are ranked seventh among junior colleges.

The Anne Arundel men are seeded fourth and meet top-seeded Montgomery-Rockville at 5 p.m. Saturday. The winner faces either Essex (No.

2 seed) or Allegany (No. 3) at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Pioneers are 3-5 in their conference. Montgomery-Rockville is 6-1.
