Sinai to cut 200 jobs

October 29, 1990

Sinai Hospital of Baltimore will cut about 200 full-time jobs because of a declining occupancy rate, but the move will result in fewer than 200 actual workers being laid off, a hospital official said today.

The jobs range from physicians and management to unskilled workers, said Leonard Marcus, vice president for employee relations.

Workers should begin getting layoff notices at the end of this week or the beginning of next week, he said.
