The High School Sun, published annually by The Carroll County Sun to celebrate Newspaper in Education Week, has received top honors from the Maryland State Teachers Association.
The second annual section, published March 4, was written and photographed by journalism students from the five public high schools, with assistance from their advisers, plus county supervisor Lillian Rodgers.
MSTA President Jane. R. Stern announced that The High School Sun was chosen as the best school section in the state, competing against all other publications in Maryland, in the 1990 School Bell Awards Competition.
