Two Fawn Grove, Pa., residents were killed Tuesday in separate car accidents on rain-slick roads in northern Harford County, state police said.

The motorists were killed within about an hour of each other during heavy rainstorms, according to accident reports. The two people killed were: *Doretha J. Gorrera, 62. She was killed in a one-car accident on Whiteford Road near Dooley Road at 10:05 a.m.

*Matthew S. Dickerson, 18. He was killed in a two-car accident on Conowingo Road near Robertson Road at 11:18 a.m.

Police said Gorrera was traveling north on Whiteford Road when her 1985 Buick LaSabre ran off the right side of the road for an unknown reason. The car struck a culvert, became airborne and landed on its side on an embankment, police said. The car rolled over, throwing Gorrera out of the car.

About one hour later on Conowingo Road, Dickerson was traveling south when he lost control of his 1986 Chevrolet Camaro. Dickerson's car crossed into the northbound lane, going into the path of a 1990 Ford Taurus driven by Michael P. Jung, 37, of Haddenfield, N.J., police said.

Jung was taken to Harford Memorial Hospital, where he was released on Wednesday, a hospital spokesman said.
