Skipjacks preview

VS. HERSHEY BEARS

* WHERE: Baltimore Arena.

* WHEN: Tonight, 7:30.

* RADIO: WLIF-AM 1300.

* OUTLOOK: The Jacks (5-3) have lost two straight and three of four but remain tied for first place in the AHL's Southern Division with Utica. The Bears (4-4-1) are just one point behind, but have played two more games. The Jacks will be without leading scorer John Purves, who has been called up to the Washington Capitals, and Bobby Babcock, who is nursing a sore wrist. However, three players -- defenseman Mark Ferner, and left wings Bob Joyce and Steve Seftel -- are expected to rejoin the lineup. Jim Hrivnak will start in goal. The Bears are without center Tim Tookey, who has a broken ankle, and defenseman Murray Baron and left wing Dale Kushner, who have been recalled by Philadelphia. The Jacks also host the Binghamton Rangers Sunday night at 7.
