MVA changes

October 26, 1990

Beginning this Saturday, the 13 full-service offices of the state Motor Vehicle Administration will be open for drivers-license services every Saturday morning instead of only on the third Saturday of every month.

The Glen Burnie MVA headquarters and the other full-service centers will now be open between 8:30 a.m. and noon every Saturday, but only for such license-related services as renewals, tests, learner's permits, driving records and identification cards.

The other full-service offices are located in Annapolis, the Mondawmin Mall in Baltimore, Bel Air, Chesapeake City, Cumberland, Easton, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Hagerstown, Upper Marlboro, Salisbury and Waldorf.

All but one of the MVA's express offices were already open Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., for limited services.

Those offices -- located in the Glenmont Shopping Center in Wheaton, the Walnut Hill Shopping Center in Gaithersburg, the Kenilworth Park Mall in Towson, the Columbia Business Center and the Landover Mall -- will continue with the same Saturday schedule.

The Essex MVA express center was open only the third Saturday of the month. It will now open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until noon.
