Frank L. Cizek

Frank L. Cizek, retired general supervisor of rate applications for Baltimore Gas & Electric Co., died Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital of complications from a stroke. He was 85 and lived on Glenmore Avenue.

A mass of Christian burial for Mr. Cizek was being offered today at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Harford Road and Gibbons Avenue.

He retired 20 years ago after heading the preparation of applications to the Public Service Commission for new rates in the Rate Research Department. He had begun working for BG&E 50 years earlier while finishing his education.

A native of Vienna, Austria, who came to Baltimore as a child, he attended Patterson Park High School, where he was a member of the track team, and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.

For more than 40 years, he served as an usher at St. Dominic's Church.

Mr. Cizek is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Robb; a son, Eric P. Cizek of Avon, Conn.; a sister, Mary Josephine Cizek of Baltimore; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
