Charles A. Jones Retired salesman

Services for Charles A. Jones, a retired restaurant equipment salesman, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road.

Mr. Jones, who was 89 and lived on Alden Road in Pikesville, died Saturday at Union Memorial Hospital of pneumonia.

He retired in 1965 after working for 20 years for the International Fixture Corp.

During World War II, he had worked for the Bendix Radio Division in Towson after serving for 20 years as a salesman for J. P. Pfeiffer & Sons, a grocery store equipment company.

Born in Baltimore, he was a graduate of Loyola High School and played on its basketball team.

His wife of 67 years, the former Irene Doberer, died nearly a year ago.

He is survived by two daughters, Dorry K. Earll of Sparks and Conny J. Stehl of Lutherville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
