New projects

Beltway (west side): Two left lanes on outer loop over Dogwood Road closed until 1:30 p.m. today for bridge deck repairs.

Toll facilities

Bay Bridge (U.S. 50/301): Eastbound toll plaza unde reconstruction: single-lane closures 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

Key Bridge (I-695): All week, dawn to dusk, one lane closed i each direction.

Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge (U.S. 40): One lane closed i each direction for sandblasting and painting.

Interstate 95: Possible lane closings on Susquehanna bridge. Periodic lane closures at Joppa Road and Raphael Road; expect delays. New Forge Road and Clayton Road are open to traffic. Off-peak closings between Beltway and White Marsh Boulevard for median construction. South of Baltimore, new traffic patterns divide through travel lanes on I-95 northbound and southbound between I-195 (to airport) and I-695. In Howard County, two-lane closures northbound 8 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday through Friday, for repaving.


Northeast side: Delays and single-lane closures, Belair Road to Perring Parkway, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

West side: Ramp from westbound I-70 to outer loop is closed temporarily; detours are from Security Boulevard to Ingleside Avenue to U.S. 40 to Beltway. Ramp from inner loop of Beltway to westbound I-70 is also closed; detours posted.

Anne Arundel County

U.S. 50/301: Westbound U.S. 50/301 relocated to right. Ramp tsouthbound Route 2 exits from left lane. Ridgely Avenue bridge over U.S. 50/301 closed. Interchanges with Patuxent Boulevard (Route 665) and I-97 are complete; all ramps open.

Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295): Work is under way on a diamond interchange at the parkway and Routes 100/176. Single lane closures along northbound and southbound Route 295, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Route 3: Extensive construction between Beltway and Route 32 (highway is being upgraded to an interstate). Benfield Road interchange relocated.

Route 10: Construction on southern extension near Jumpers Hole Road and Ritchie Highway.


Baltimore Street between Calvert and Gay streets: lane restrictions daily, particularly during non-peak hours, for subway construction (through Feb. 1).

Lexington Street between Gay Street and Frederick Street: Closed for construction of parking garage until late November.

Mulberry Street (U.S. 40) (downtown Baltimore): Closed between Greene and St. Paul streets.

Baltimore County

Paper Mill Road (Baltimore County): Bridge over Loch Raven Reservoir closed until March 1991 for repair of deck and floor beams.

Cecil County

Route 7: Bridge work over Amtrak rails near Bacon Hill, south of Elkton. Existing bridge will be demolished and is closed to traffic (completion date: November 1991).
