State Meets With County

October 21, 1990

WESTMINSTER - Maryland Transportation Secretary Richard N. Trainor and State Highway Administrator Hal Kassoff will meet with state and local officials at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Commissioner's Conference Room of the County Office Building.

The annual meetings are offered to consult with elected officials on local and statewide transportation priorities. The "1991 State Report on Transportation" and the status of all highway projects in the county will be discussed.

During the Carroll meeting, the group will focus on the upgrade of Route 26 in Eldersburg, replacement of the Route 27 bridge over the Maryland Midland Railroad, and Route 32/Route 526 in Westminster and the Hampstead Bypass.

When the county meetings conclude, the transportation department's plans and programs will be finalized and presented to the governor for his review and approval before being sent to the 1991 General Assembly in January.
