Helen W. Wilson Retired nursing teacher

A memorial service for Helen Wright Wilson, a retired nursing teacher and wife of a former University of Baltimore president, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Penney Retirement Community in Penney Farms, Fla.

Mrs. Wilson, who was 99, died in her sleep Oct. 4 at the retirement community, where she had lived for more than 20 years.

She retired from teaching in 1946 at the University of Baltimore. She also had taught at the University of Maryland and the Johns Hopkins Hospital nursing school, from which she graduated in 1921.

Her husband, former UB President Dr. Theodore H. Wilson, died in 1986.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by a stepson, Dr. Theodore H. Wilson Jr. of Baltimore; two stepdaughters; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
