Margaret Lee Praley Mortgage firm executive

A Mass of Christian burial for Margaret Lee Praley, a mortgage company vice president in Severna Park, will be offered at 9 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 7436 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Glen Burnie.

Ms. Praley, who was 34 and lived on Oak Court in Severna Park, died Monday of cancer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Vice president of American Home Funding, she had worked for that company for four years and earlier for similar firms. She was a member of the Anne Arundel County Board of Realtors and of the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Ms. Praley was a native of Baltimore and the daughter of a former Anne Arundel County police chief. She was reared in Millersville and was a 1974 graduate of the Glen Burnie High School. She attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Her husband, George Schumann, owns the Acme Plating Co.

In addition to her husband, her survivors include a daughter, Kathryn P. Helms of Severna Park; her parents, Phyllis Lee and Edward A. Praley Sr. of Glen Burnie; and four brothers, James C. and Michael X. Praley of Annapolis, Edward A. Praley Jr. of Chesapeake Beach and Rudolph R. Praley of Glen Burnie.
