Karl E. Miller, a retired building products sales official who was active in historic restoration, died Monday of cancer at the restored Federal-era home on Water Street in Chestertown where he had lived since 1970. He was 87.
Services for Mr. Miller were being held today at Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chestertown.
He had retired in 1970 in Baltimore as district sales manager for the GAF Corp. building products division after working for the company and its predecessor, the Ruberoid Co., for many years.
A native of upper New York state who moved to Baltimore as a youth with his family, he was a 1925 graduate of Johns Hopkins University and lived in Guilford before his retirement.
