Mildred C. Truslow

Mildred C. Truslow, who was active in church and community groups in Chestertown, died Saturday of heart failure at her home there. She was 92.

Services for Mrs. Truslow will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Emmanuel Episcopal Church there.

She had taught Sunday school classes, been a member of the Altar Guild and held office in other groups at her church, and was a member of the board of the Children's Home Foundation of the Episcopal Diocese of Easton.

The former Mildred Collins was a native of Centreville and a 1915 graduate of Queen Anne's County High School. She attended St. Mary's College in Raleigh, N.C.

She taught in the county's schools before her marriage in 1924 to Claude E. Truslow, who died in 1947.

Mrs. Truslow is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth T. Welch of Baltimore, Margaret T. Kane of Chestertown and Nellie T. Hutchins of Bethany Beach, Del.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggested memorial donations to Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
