The Harford County Chapter of the Home Builders Association of Maryland has donated $4,000 to FACETS Inc, a residential counseling and educational center for boys who have family-based problems.

The money was raised during the second annual charity golfing event June 4 at the Golf and Country Club of Swan Creek in Havre de Grace.

A & L Shatto Inc. of Bel Air has been awarded a contract to perform an environmental management information analysis for the Army Toxic and Hazardous Materials Agency.

Awarded by the Baltimore district office of the Army Corps of Engineers on Sept. 26, the five-month contract has a $25,000 value.

Under the contract, Shatto will develop a system for linking the environmental information generated at 1,300 Army bases in the continental Unites States.

Shatto, which has been open for two years, has done work for Lockheed, General Atomics, ARCO and Becton-Dickinson.
