Retired dentist was 100

Services for Joseph H. Flesher, a retired dentist, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 Padonia Road East.

Dr. Flesher, a resident of Lutherville, died Thursday at home after a brief illness. He was 100. Born in Throop, Pa., he attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and Villanova University. Serving as class historian, he graduated in 1911 from Medico-Chirurgical College, which later merged with the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Flesher practiced in Olyphant, Pa., where he was active in the Mid Valley Dental Society. In 1939 he moved to Towson, where he practiced until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Maryland State Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Flesher married the former Marie Michaels in 1914. She died in 1967.

He is survived by three sons, Frank E. Flesher of Phoenicia, N.Y., Joseph H. Flesher of Ocean City and Dr. Eugene E. Flesher of Lutherville; a sister, Theresa Witkowski of Washington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
