Services for Odessa L. Jennings, a retired school custodian who was active in church work, will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the Waters African Methodist Episcopal Church, 417 Aisquith St.

Mrs. Jennings, who was 55, died of cancer Monday at her home on Morley Street.

She retired last spring from the Leith Walk Elementary School after working 24 years there and at the Rock Glen Elementary School.

At Waters A.M.E. Church, she was a member of the Altar Guild.

The former Odessa L. Jenkins was born in Camden, S.C., and came to Baltimore in 1953 after graduating from high school there.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Preston Jennings; two sons, Preston L. Jennings of Baltimore and Mark C. Jennings of Anaheim, Calif.; two daughters, Angela

A. and Sheri A. Jennings, both of Baltimore; four sisters, Nola Adams, Carolyn McCaden and Theola Gibson, all of Baltimore, and Eva J. Walker of New Rochelle, N.Y.; four brothers, Joseph, Samuel and Clifton Jenkins, all of Baltimore, and Woodrow Jenkins of Camden; and four grandchildren.
