Mary L. Hipsley 1st Stoneleigh principal

Services for Mary L. Hipsley, who became the first principal of Stoneleigh Elementary School when it opened in 1930, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

Miss Hipsley, who was 94, died Tuesday of heart failure at Baltimore County General Hospital.

The longtime resident of the Reisterstown area retired in 1958 after a career of more than 40 years as a teacher or principal in Baltimore County schools. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and what is now Towson State University.

Miss Hipsley is survived by several nieces and nephews.
