Frostburg State, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, Salisbury State and the University of Maryland College Park are the Maryland colleges included in a list of 200 private and public universities considered the best value for the dollar in Money Guide magazine's fall issue.
The money each college devotes to student instruction, the number of students who go on to get doctorates, the graduation rate, the student-faculty ratio and the number of books in the college library were some of the criteria the magazine used in compiling the list.
