BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 2700 block of Wilkens Ave. and removed property valued at more than $11,000. Police said entry was gained through a rear kitchen door yesterday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and that the intruder made off with a silver setting for eight, a VCR, two CB radios, a .22-caliber rifle, two 12-gauge shotguns and $20.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Timothy Murry, of the 4000 block of W. Franklin St., reported that he was in the 1100 block of Clendenin St. shortly after 1 a.m. yesterday when he was accosted by three men, one armed with an unknown-caliber handgun, who forced him to give up the keys to his 1987 Chevrolet. Police said the gunman and his accomplices then drove off in the car.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that Camilla Wright, of the 2000 block of W. Saratoga St., was walking near her home shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday when she was stopped by a man who asked her for money. Police said when Wright refused the man's request, he ripped her clothing apart and robbed her of $200.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Jeanette Dwight, of the 200 block of N. Monroe St., reported that she was in the 1800 block of W. Saratoga St. around 3 p.m. yesterday when she was stopped by a man who demanded her money while implying he was armed with a handgun. Police said Dwight gave up her purse containing nearly $200 in cash and other property.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- John Smithwick, of the 500 block of Wildwood Parkway, reported that he was walking near his home around 1 a.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man armed with a knife who demanded his money. Smithwick told police he gave the man more than $160 and that he recognized the robber.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Patrick Lewis, of the 2500 block of Denison St., reported that someone broke into his van while it was parked near his home and removed property valued at more than $700.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Employees of Variety Auto Brokers in the 1800 block of S. Caton Ave. reported that someone broke into a truck that was parked on company property and removed property valued at $600.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone removed a parking meter head from its post in the 2100 block of W. Pratt St. The meter head was valued at more than $400.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Nickole Robinson reported that while her Mazda was parked in the 3500 block of Southern Ave. yesterday someone broke into the vehicle and removed a stereo equalizer. Police said the thief also removed the vehicle's vinyl grill cover. Police said the property was valued at $80.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Leon Phillips, of the 3700 block of Frankford Ave., reported that someone broke into his Toyota yesterday while the vehicle was parked near his home and removed property valued at more than $1,000. Police said entry was gained by breaking a rear window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a car owned by Catherine Truehart, of the 1600 block of Northwick Road, while it was parked in the 4200 block of Welbourne Road and removed more than $100 worth of cassette tapes. Police said a youth seen riding away from the car on a bike was being sought in connection with the theft.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Mildred Carison, of the 600 block of Overbrook Road in Rodgers Forge, reported that she was walking in the 1500 block of E. Northern Parkway yesterday when she was approached from behind by a man who stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $60, and that the thief escaped by driving off in a car that had been stolen earlier.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone entered the Hasslinger Athletic Association in the 5400 block of Harford Road and removed property valued at nearly $400. Police said there was no sign of forced entry and that a key may have been used to enter the building.

ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking a man who assaulted Kimberly Arrves, of the 2400 block of E. Northern Parkway, as she walked in the 3100 block of Erdman Ave. yesterday and attempted to steal her purse. Police said Arrves struggled with the man, causing him to flee without taking her property.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5400 block of Force Road reported that someone broke into her home by cutting a window screen and removed property valued at $600.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $1,000 was removed from a dwelling in the 2600 block of Kirk Ave. after someone entered without leaving any signs of forced entry.
