Paul J. Kircher Sr. Maryland Glass employee

A Mass of Christian burial for Paul J . Kircher Sr., retired head of quality control for the old Maryland Glass Corp., will be offered at 9 a.m. today at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 9531 Liberty Road, Randallstown.

Mr. Kircher, who was 77 and lived on Bengal Road in Randallstown, died of cancer Saturday at St. Agnes Hospital.

He retired in 1975 after working at Maryland Glass for 40 years.

During World War II, he served in the Army and was stationed in Japan at the end of the war. He remained in the reserve, retiring in 1975 as a lieutenant colonel.

Born in Baltimore, he was a 1931 graduate of Loyola High School and a 1935 graduate of Loyola College, where he was a chemistry major.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Wright; two sons, Paul J. Kircher Jr. of Baltimore and John A. Kircher of Selinsgrove, Pa.; two daughters, Paula E. Bahorich and Mary Regina Forry, both of Baltimore; two sisters, Virginia H. Spranklin and Dorothy Bowen, both of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.

The family suggested contributions to the American Cancer Society.
