Chamber Honors Policeman, Firefighter

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding policeman and firefighter at the annual Police and Fire Awards at 6 p.m. tonight at La Fontaine Bleu, on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

The dinner serves as the monthly general membership meeting for the chamber and will honor Anne Arundel Police Officer Harry Peterson of Platoon 1 in Millersville as Policeman of the Year; the Career Firefighter of the Year award will be presented to Firefighter 3 Douglas E. Wilson.

The chamber will present a special award, the Volunteer Firefighters Award, to the Anne Arundel County Alarmers Association, to be accepted by the group's president, Roland Kroeger, and vice president, Ray Robey.
