Storm tops Blast in exhibition, 5-4

PORTLAND — PORTLAND, Maine -- Bobo Lucic scored two goals, including the game-winner at 3 minutes, 49 seconds of overtime, to lead the St. Louis Storm to a 5-4 victory over the Baltimore Blast in a Major Soccer League exhibition game yesterday at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Bill Ronson, Rusty Troy, Chris Simon and Mike Stankovic scored for the Blast, which was playing its first preseason game. Mark Frederickson, Thompson Usiyan and Brian Schmetzer had St. Louis' other goals.

Scott Manning went all the way in goal for the Blast, facing 40 shots. The Blast had 37 shots against St. Louis goalies Slobo Ilijevski and Zoltan Toth.

The Blast faces the Storm in another exhibition tonight at 7:05 in Springfield, Mass.
