W. C. PINKARD HAS NEW OFFICE MANAGER

W. C. Pinkard and Co. has appointed L. Jamie Smith manager of its Columbia office.

Smith, vice president of the company, will be responsible for coordinating all office sales and leasing activity in the suburban south market, as well as general management of the office.

He has worked at W. C. Pinkard for 10 years.

ELY WILL LEAD Y'S MAJOR GIFT CAMPAIGN

Ed Ely of the Rouse Co. will head the Howard County YMCA's Annual Support Campaign Major Gifts Division.

The Major Gifts Division solicits contributions of $250 and higher, comprising half of the YMCA's $35,000 annual campaign.

Contributions provide financial assistance and subsidies for YMCA memberships and programs for all members of the community, regardless of ability to pay.

NEW BOARD MEMBERS FOR CAREERSCOPE

Catherine Janson and Joanne Settel have joined the board of directors of Careerscope Inc. for the 1990-1991 fiscal year.

Careerscope is a non-profit career counseling agency in Columbia.

BROWN PROMOTED BY ERA APEX

ERA Apex Realty has promoted Ron Brown to sales manager.

Brown joined the Ellicott City firm in June and has been directing its recruiting and training efforts.

The Columbia resident is a graduate of the University of Baltimore.
