Myla B. DeMuth

Myla B. DeMuth, a former woman's club president who was active in volunteer work, died Wednesday of cancer at her home on Donegal Drive in Towson. She was 61.

A memorial service for Mrs. DeMuth, who was 61, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Charles Street and Melrose Avenue.

The former Myla Hilton Beames was a native of Hackensack, N.J.

Married in 1954 to Richard G. DeMuth, they moved to Baltimore in 1959. He is the retired controller of the Kennecott Refining Corp.

In addition to her husband, her survivors include a son, Brian Peter DeMuth of the Loch Raven Village area; a daughter, Joyce Hilton Lynagh of Fallston; her father, Walden Chase Beames of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Georgiana Alice Standafer of Charlotte; and four grandchildren.
