Elizabeth Gamber Longtime area resident

Services for Elizabeth B. Gamber, who had lived in the Baltimore area for more than 40 years, will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the United Methodist Church of Paoli, Pa.

Mrs. Gamber, who was 79 and lived in Berwyn, Pa., for a year and a half, died Tuesday at a hospital in Paoli after an illness of three weeks.

The former Elizabeth Brice was a native of Betterton whose father, Arthur H. Brice, served as president of the state Senate in the late 1930s and early 1940s. She attended Washington College.

A former member of the Northwood-Appold United Methodist Church, she left the Towson area in 1979 after the death of her husband, Richard M. Gamber, who had been an executive of the Alexander & Alexander Inc. insurance brokerage.

Before moving with her son, Brice Gamber, to Berwyn, they lived in Chicago and Plymouth, Minn.

In addition to her son, Mrs. Gamber's survivors include three grandchildren.
