October 04, 1990

A memorial Mass for C. Arthur Bregel, a retired salesman, will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Roman Catholic chapel at the rectory of St. Joseph's Passionist Monastery Church, 251 S. Morley St.

Mr. Bregel, who lived on Lounsbury Court in the Woodlawn area, died Sept. 25 of cancer at St. Agnes Hospital. He was 79.

He retired nearly two decades ago after working for many years for paper and plastics businesses that supplied restaurants, including the Solo Cup Co. He was a member of the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

He and his wife helped to start the Medical Eye Bank of Maryland.

A native of Baltimore, he attended the Polytechnic Institute.

He is survived by his wife, the former Pauline Altvater; two daughters, Jane M. Stubbs of Parkville and Jacqueline L. Tkacik of Westminster; and two grandsons.

The family suggested memorial contributions to the Medical Eye Bank of Maryland.
