Tarleton A. Schuyler

Tarleton A. Schuyler, retired vice president of the Curtis Bay Towing Co., died Monday at a hospital in Virginia Beach, Va., where he lived, after a long illness. He was 74.

Services for Mr. Schuyler were being held today at the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Va.

He started with the towing company in 1941 as a deck hand on a tug and retired in 1981 as vice president in charge of its operations in the Norfolk area, to which he had been transferred in 1957.

A Baltimore native and a graduate of City College, he had been active in maritime groups in Norfolk and had been a member of the Propeller Club in Baltimore.

After the death of his first wife, Dorothy Schuyler, he married the former Sandra Dolly, who survives him in addition to two daughters, a stepdaughter, a stepson, a brother and six grandchildren.
