It's your call

Barry Levinson's new filmed-in-Baltimore movie, "Avalon," opens Friday at the Senator Theatre.

Before you go out to see it, Accent would like to know which of the six previous Levinson-directed films is your favorite. "Diner" (1982) and "Tin Men" (1987) were Baltimore stories and filmed here, but Levinson won an Academy Award for best director for "Rain Man," (1988), which many consider to be his finest achievement to date. Levinson's other directorial efforts were "The Natural" (1984), "Young Sherlock Holmes" (1985) and "Good Morning Vietnam" (1988).

To register your opinion, call SUNDIAL, the Baltimore Sun's free directory of telephone information services at 783-1800 (or 268-7736 in Anne Arundel County) today until midnight.

After you hear the greeting, you'll be asked to punch in a four-digit code on your touch-tone phone. Punch 4600 and you'll be connected with "It's Your Call," The Evening Sun's survey on topical issues.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.

Look for results in the Accent Plus section of Thursday's Evening Sun.
