This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

National defense contracts

Veda Inc. in Lexington Park won a $14,336,606 contract from the Navy to test and evaluate the E-2C and C-2A aircraft.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Hunt Valley won a $2,400,000 contract from the Air Force to provide architectural and engineering services.

UNC Support Services in Annapolis won a $1,604,897 contract from the Air Force to provide training services.

Arinc Research Corp. in Annapolis won a $400,000 contract from the Air Force to provide engineering services.

Roofex Inc. in Takoma Park won a $340,480 contract from the Air Force to repair roofs at Bolling AFB.

Manufacturing & Technology Conversion International Inc. in Columbia won a $2,360,745 contract from the Department of Energy to research development and testing of commercial scale coal-fired combustion systems.
