Services for Edward, T. Johnson, a retired federal employee, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow a Grace United Methodist Church, 5407 N. Charles. St.
Mr. Johnson, who lived on Ruxway Road in the Riderwood area of Baltimore County, died Tuesday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He was 82.
After graduating from Catonsville High School, the Relay native studied law and aaccounting at the University of Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University.
In his early years, Mr. Johnson worked for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, He later began work for the General Accounting Office of the federal government.
In 1963 he was made director of the European branch of the GAO. He and his family lived for a year in France and a year in Germany.
Mr. Johnson retired from the federal government in 1971 after 25 years of service and moved back to Baltimore from Chevy Chase, where the family had lived after returning fronm Europe.
He enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour westerns.
Mar. Johnson is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Virginia Barclay, and a son, Edward T. Johnson Jr. of Riderwood.
