The former Florence Frank was a native of Harrisburg and a graduate of Temple University. Her husband, Dr. Aaron Babitt, was a dentist in Reading before his death in 1983.

Mrs. Babitt was a vice president of the United Service Organization in Reading during World War II.

She was a charter member and president of the auxiliary of the Reading Dental Society, chaired that city's United Jewish Appeal and headed the Sisterhood of its Oheb Shalom Congregation.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzon Webster and Deborah Stambler, both of Lutherville; and three grandchildren.
