A memorial Mass for Elizabeth M. Knight, a former deputy clerk of the Superior Court in Baltimore, will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at SS. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church, 2801 N. Charles St.

Mrs. Knight, 87, a resident of North Baltimore for many years, died Sept. 18 at Stella Maris Hospice after a heart attack.

She retired in 1969 after 20 years in the court clerk's office.

The former Elizabeth Martin, widely known as Betty, was born in Hagerstown and educated at St. Joseph's Academy in McSherrystown, Pa., and at the Maryland Institute, where she first studied costume design and later took courses in painting.

She was former secretary of the Maryland branch of the National Woman's Party. She had belonged to the Woman's Club of Glyndon.

She is survived by a son, Noel M. Knight of Baltimore.
