Showtime to tape Baltimore comics at Slapstix club

September 25, 1990|By Henry Scarupa

The Showtime cable network comes to Baltimore's Slapstix comedy club tomorrow night to videotape some of Baltimore's funniest comedians for a segment to be broadcast later this year.

Included in the line-up at Slapstix, located at Market Place, are Jannette Barber, Dan Chopin, Billiam Coronel, Warren Hutchinson, Rich Marotta, T. P. Mulrooney, Mark Roberts and Bob Somerby. The program starts at 8 p.m.

A Showtime official said yesterday that the Baltimore segments -- part of visits to comedy clubs in various cities around the country -- probably would be aired late in November, but could not give a definite date.
