Services for Elmer Marable, who retired in 1980 as section dhief in the cable shop of the Point Breeze plant of the Western Electric Co., will be held at noon today at Augsburg :utheran Church, 2610 Garrison Blvd.

Mr. Marable lived on Yosemite Avenue. He died Tuesday of cancer at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 72.

Born in Graystone, N.C., he was reared in Baltimore and was a graduate of Douglass High School, now the New Community Colleged oof Baltimore. He was know a Jack since childhood.

He had worked for the telephone equipment company for 38 years. He was active in the Point Breeze Chapter of Telephone Pioneers of America and the Auxiliary of Provident Hospital, which became Liberty Medical Center.

At Augsburg Church he was a member of the church counci, the stewardship committee and the Men of Augsburg.

He is survived by his wife, the former Charletta Roberts; two daughters, Beverly D. Marable and Jacqueline Williams, both of Baltimore; two sons, Elmer and Jimmy Marable, both of Baltimore; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
