Baltimore man dies when car hits van

September 21, 1990

A 79-year-old Baltimore man was killed yesterday when the car he was driving crossed the center line on Liberty Heights Avenue and struck a van head-on, police said.

Agent Arlene Jenkins, a police spokeswoman, said Arthur Von Laszewski, 79, of the 500 block of West 27th Street was traveling east in the 3900 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in a Hundai Excel when he crossed over the center line.

Mr. Laszewski hit a 1988 Ford van being driven by Stanley James Robinson, 41, of the 3600 block of Forest Park Avenue. Mr. Robinson and his passenger, Glynda Harris, 25, of the 2700 block of Talbot Road, were both treated at Liberty Medical Center and released, Agent Jenkins said.
