Two Men Charged In Street Fracas

September 19, 1990

Two men were arrested on assault charges Saturday afternoon following a fight in the middle of Patuxent Boulevard just south of Annapolis.

A police report says an officer was driving by the intersection of Patuxent Boulevard and Route 2 at about 3 p.m. when he saw the two men fighting and holding up traffic.

Charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct were David Troy Colement, 27, of the 8200 block Clearwater Court, Severn, and John J. Kuska, 37, of the 9300 block Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel.

A 30-year-old Annapolis man was robbed of nearly $600 Friday after being abducted and forced to drive to Bestgate Park.

Conrad Easton Bertram, of the 1100 block Forest Drive, was traveling north on Admiral Drive when he saw a green Chevy behind him trying to flag him down, a county police report says. Bertram turned left on Jennifer Road, across from the County Detention Center, and pulled over.

A man in the Chevy came to his car and threatened him with an automatic pistol. The man then got into Bertram's car and forced him to drive to the park.

Once at the park, the suspects robbed Bertram of $595 and fled toward the Annapolis Mall, the report says.
