Norbert H. "Itch" Zeller, a retired account executive, died Saturday at his home in Towson after a short illness. He was 64.
A mass of Christian burial for Mr. Zeller will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5500 York Road in Govans.
Born in Baltimore, he was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School, where he was a member of the cross-country track team, and attended Loyola College. He served on a mine sweeper in the Navy during World War II. He was discharged in 1947 as a petty officer third class.
Mr. Zeller worked for the 3M Co. of St. Paul, Minn., for 36 years, retiring in 1985 as an account executive in the medical products division.
In his youth, Mr. Zeller played in the Baltimore Bureau of Recreation football league.
He was also a member of American Legion Post 183.
Mr. Zeller is survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Betty Smith; three sons, David G. Zeller of Baltimore, John N. Zeller of Chase and Robert M. Zeller of Mount Airy; two brothers, Gerard J. Zeller of Timonium and John E. Zeller of Towson; three sisters, Helen O'Hare of Carney, Marie Pierce of Stratham, N.H., and Jean Mahon of Brighton, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests donations be made to St. Joseph Hospital Home Care/Hospice Program, Towson, 21204.
