Woman found dead in park suspect sought

September 14, 1990

Police today were seeking a suspect in the slaying last night of a 30-year-old Randallstown woman whose body was found shortly after midnight in the 1900 block of Wetheredsville Road in Leakin Park.

Homicide Detective David Brown said a purse, containing identification and personal property, was found near the body, but that the victim's name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Brown said a jogger and a motorist passing each other on Wetheredsville Road just south of the 4500 block of Windsor Mill Road about 12:25 a.m. today heard what sounded like a gunshot and found the body a short distance away.

Brown said the woman had been shot at least once in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the crew of a city fire department ambulance.
