Baltimore City:

THEFT: Northeastern District -- James Jones, of the first block of Cedar Ridge Court in Baltimore County, reported that while his car was parked in the 3000 block of Montebello Terrace someone broke into the vehicle and removed a wallet containing more than $60. Police said entry was gained by breaking a window.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Eric Lee, of the 4400 block of Plainfield Ave., reported that his 1988 Ford Escort was parked near his home when someone removed the sideview mirror. Lee told police the mirror was valued at $70.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that Milton McClean, of the 1600 block of E. 30th St., was in the 2700 block of The Alameda when he was accosted by a man armed with an unknown-caliber handgun who demanded his cash and jewelry. Police said the gunman fled the scene on foot with cash and property of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Goodale Road reported that someone broke into her home and removed a large sum of cash from her bedroom.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Lawrence Ganzermilla, of the 4000 block of Overlea Ave., reported that upon returning home he discovered money was missing from his wallet and his bank account. Besides the money, Ganzermilla told police that a friend who had been staying with him also was gone.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police responding to the K mart store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane arrested two young girls who attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at nearly $45. Police said the girls, ages 11 and 14, were charged as juveniles and were released in the custody of their parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

THEFT: Northern District -- Sandra Gray, an out-of-town resident, reported that while her car was parked in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. yesterday, someone broke into the vehicle and removed a stereo radio. Police said the radio was valued at $300.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police reported that a portable AM-FM stereo radio was removed from a car owned by Karen Fields, of the 900 block of Dartmouth Glen Way, while the vehicle was parked yesterday near the victim's home. Police said the property was valued at $400.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who removed an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register at a U.S. Post Office in the 4900 block of York Road. Police said the man entered the post office yesterday and asked to buy some stamps. Police said when the postal clerk turned away to get the stamps, the man reached over the counter and removed money from the open cash register and fled the scene on foot.

THEFT: Northern District -- Francine Vogel, of the 1900 block of Greenberry Road, reported that someone entered her home and removed jewelry valued at nearly $1,300. Police said the missing jewelry included two gold bracelets.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Peter Guercio, of the 2900 block of Echodale Ave., reported that someone who was visiting him left his home and took property valued at $300.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the Eastern District pending charges that during an incident in the 1700 block of Waverly Way he struck Robert Steel in the face with a length of metal pipe. Police said Steel, a resident of Baltimore County, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a lacerated eye and released.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Robert Snyder, of the 4900 block Hamilton Ave., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home and removed four tires. Police said the tires were valued at nearly $400.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- James Webb, 53, of the 800 block of N. Chapel St., reported that during an incident near his home involving a man he knows he was struck over the head with a length of iron pipe. Police said Webb was taken to Johns #F Hopkins Hospital for treatment and released. His assailant was being sought on aggravated assault charges.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Daniel Powell, of the 1800 block of E. North Ave., reported that he was near his home when he was accosted by a man armed with a knife who forced him to give up his money. Police said the armed man was given nearly $200 and fled the scene on foot. Police said the suspect is a resident of the 1600 block of Aliceanna St. and is being sought.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Police reported that a compact disk player valued at more than $100 was removed from an apartment in the 900 block of Webb Court. Police said entry was gained through a second-floor window and that a neighbor of the victim is being sought in connection with the break-in.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Daniel Brown, of the 1700 block of E. Lafayette Ave., reported that he was in the 2300 block of Harford Road when he was attacked by a man in his 20s who rifled his pockets and removed $15.
