New Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Palmer is almost as well-known for endorsing men's briefs these days as for his Cy Young Awards and eight 20-win seasons for the Baltimore Orioles in the 1970s. He is not the first baseball great to do underwear commercials, however. In the 1930s, Babe Ruth had a line of "All-American Underwear."
