Player of the Week

September 11, 1990

Randallstown senior running back Larry Washington earned The Sun's Player of the Week honor, rushing for 236 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries as the Rams beat Lackey, 35-19, in their opener Saturday. Washington, 5 feet 11, 215 pounds, showed why Super Prep and Street & Smith's selected him as one of the nation's top recruits.

Note: Beginning next week, The Sun also will recognize a girls Player of the Week on its Tuesday prep page. Player of the Week nominations may be made by calling 332-6200 after the player's final game of the week is called in or on Sundays between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The caller must supply statistics in all games for which the athlete is being nominated. The player must be available to have a picture taken Monday. Athletes in all sports are eligible.
