Delores Toyer Reid

Delores Toyer Reid, 57, an administrator for the Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks, died Saturday at Union Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at noon tomorrow at the March-East funeral establishment, 1101 E. North Ave.

A native of Baltimore, Mrs. Reid was educated in the Baltimore public school system. She began her career in the recreation department in 1967 and became the senior director of the Greenmount Recreation Center. At the Greenmount Recreation Center, she was active in programs for senior citizens, programs to help those with substance abuse and with the Special Olympics.

She was married to the late Adrian J. Reid.

Survivors, all of Baltimore, include three sons, Tyrone Reid, Quintin Reid and Marvin Reid; a daughter, Yolanda Reid; two sisters, Dorothy Harrington and Mabel Toyer; and six grandchildren.
